Ken Watten, MBA, CFP® | Partner, President & CEO
Los Angeles native Ken Watten has been providing competent and caring financial guidance and investment management services to his clients since joining Kaye Capital Management in 2004.
Ken holds a Bachelor’s degrees from UC Santa Barbara in Political Science. In addition, Ken has completed two research studies at the prestigious London School of Economics and has completed the Personal Financial Planning program at UCLA. Ken has been awarded the credential of Certified Financial Planner® and earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Financial Planning from California Lutheran University.
He has been published in the Journal for Financial Service Professionals. Ken also served as adjunct professor in California Lutheran’s MBA program, teaching “Macroeconomics for Investments” to CFP® and MBA Candidates.
David W. Hilton, AIF®, CPFA®| Partner & COO
David Hilton is a Partner and the COO of Kaye Capital Management. David is responsible for managing the firms retirement services group and institutional client relations. In addition, he works with high net worth individuals providing them institutional service and support.
Prior to his current role David was a Senior Vice President for Payden & Rygel, an institutional asset management firm. In that role he was responsible for the firm’s retirement services team and managing client relations with institutional consultants and plan sponsors, including pension funds, corporations, endowments, and foundations.
Hilton is very involved in the Los Angeles community. He currently sits on the Board of Trustees for Baseball for All, a girls baseball nonprofit that builds gender equity by creating opportunities for girls to play, coach, and lead in the sport. He previosuly sat on the Board of Trustees for the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House, the Alumni Committee for Loyola High School of Los Angeles, the Optimist Professionals of Optimist Youth Homes and Family Services and Encino Little League. Hilton now spends most of his time driving his three kids around to all their sporting and school activities.
David is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and is currently studying in UCLA’s Personal Financial Planning curriculum towards his CFP® credential. He received a BA degree in Economics from the University of Colorado.
Ken Besada | Advisory Associate
Ken is a 17-year veteran of the financial services industry and works closely with business owners and other professionals to help them make educated financial choices. Ken’s initial training and work experience was in banking, where he became a bank manager, followed by a position operating an insurance brokerage and finally transitioning into an established financial planning firm in Manhattan Beach where he broadened his knowledge and experience. Ken has a highly developed understanding of life insurance, disability and long-term care contracts, which are often vital components of the financial planning process.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Berkeley in Psychology, where he primarily focused his coursework on Neurology, Neuropsychology and brain function. Ken is also an alumnus of Loyola High School.
Ken joined Kaye Capital Management as an Advisor Associate, with an expertise in risk management, and a desire to expand his knowledge of financial planning and asset management to serve his growing base of business owners and professionals.
